Mom's famous bread

This the best bread in the world! And it is famous... among our family! Though I'm sure it would be famous if we entered it in any fairs! It is a rather long process, but is very rewarding, so is worth the work. My family is kinda large so we make 4 loaves at a time, but you can always downsize the recipe. ( I will put a recipe for 2 loaves below, then it will be easier make smaller!)

This dough was a little tough, you want it to be a almost sticky, a little soft. And you only use a part of the flour right away, like if I use 12 cups of flour, for 4 loaves, I only use 9 cups right away, and when almost everything is mixed in, then I add the last three cups. If you have a bread paddle, that works best. Here is the recipe for 4 loaves:

12 c. flour
1 T. lecithin
2 T. yeast
4 T.gluten
1 t. salt
1/4 t. vitamin C
4 c. water
1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. honey

Now the recipe for 2 loaves:

6 c. flour
1 1/2 t. lecithin
1 T. yeast
2 T. gluten
1/2 t. salt
1/8(or half of a 1/4) t. vitamin C
2 c. water
/4 c. oil
1/4 c. honey

1. Mix all ingredients together.
2. Shape into a smooth ball and place in a large greased bowl and cover with a towel. let rise for half an hour
3. Separate into four sections and shape each one into a smooth loaf.
4. Let rise in bread pans for another half of an hour.
5. Bake at 350 for 30 minuets
6. ENJOY!!

If you girls have any family recipes, share them in your comments!
Thanks!

My favorite bible verses

Hey there girls!
I'm back again with some of my favorite bible verses, and some news I will save to the end. These are my personal bibles. I have collected in the past few years. This was given to me by my parents on my 9th birthday.. It is a beautiful bible that is very girlie!

It has a little metal inscription on the front that says 'faith'.

This is a bible that was awarded to me from a club I follow.
( If you are interested to join, comment and tell me and I will sign you up!)

It even has my name inscribed on the front, in gold.( Not real gold, though.)

This is a bible from a organization called Bible Bee. My family wanted to do a challenge that it did.
We didn't end up doing it, but we did get the bibles. I made the cover.

So now I want to share bible verses.
I love Romans 3: 23, because it says that no one is without sin and we all need a savoir to forgive us.
" For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Rom. 3:23

Also,
" For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life."
John 3:16

My family has been memorizing Psalm 91, and there was one verse that stuck out to me,
"For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways."
Psalm 91: 11

" A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."
Proverbs 15: 1

Please share you favorites in your comments!

Okay here comes the news,
last night one of our goats had a baby! It is a little boy, but we haven't named him yet.
Here are some pictures:

It's mom is a black and white Nubian, and the dad was a Nubian and was colored like the baby.

Thank you for looking, and I hope to be back tomorrow with another post.
Talk to you then!

At the lake!!!!!

Happy Easter!!!!!
He is risen, indeed!!
I meant to do a post Monday, but I didn't really have time, but today I have something to post about so here goes. My dad was going to take us kids fishing at Silver lake, but decided to take us camping overnight, to go fishing,( and to give mom a break!). I had a wonderful time although it was sooooo cold!!! I caught a little 4 inch crappie, so the trip wasn't that bad! We got there sometime near 1:00 pm, and left near 10:00 the next morning. This is Dad's vacation week so we went over Thursday, and came back Friday. I got up at 5:30 am, to go fishing. It was so cold! That is when I caught my fish.

God has made everything beautiful!

A sunrise is the prettiest thing in the morning!

I will lift mine eyes to the mountain, from where will my help come?
Psalm 121:1

There are so many different kinds or ducks!

The geese were so graceful and pretty!

Thanks so much for looking and don't forget to comment and tell me your news!
I'd love to hear any thing from you guys!

Talk to you next time!

Babies!!!!

HI!
I am sooooooooooooooo sorry I have not posted in a while,I have been pretty busy though.
Here is a update on our 'baby farm'.These are my brothers adorable ducklings. They are Indian runners, the yellow ones are fawn white runners, and the dark one is a blue runner. They are so cute! My brother has to clean their bin,(because they are little, they conveniently fit in a large bin, because we don't have any other place at the time to put them), every single day! I don't think I would like having ducks have if I had to clean out their... well we'll just leave it there.

He is so cute, floating around in our little kiddy pool.

The blue one is a week younger the other ones because the little yellow male had a crooked neck and we thought he wouldn't make it so we got a replacement but so far he is doing wonderful,

My brother has quail, and they have grown like maniacs!

These are my babies rabbits. They are about the cutest thing in the world!

This is my newest doe, and for this feature I am so excited,
she is pregnant!!!!!!

This is the dad of my litter of kits. He is a BEW, blue eyed white.

This is the mom of the babies.
She is a tri colored doe. That means she has 3 colors.

This was one of the babies from her last litter.

I had a adorable video that I was going to post of the baby rabbits, but I couldn't find it on the camera, so I will do another one later. They are 13 days old, and just opening their eyes, which makes them even cuter!
By the way, we also have goats, chickens, pigeons, 5 turkeys, 2 dogs, and another adult duck!

I would love to hear from you guys!If you have any pets, you can tell me all about them in your comments, and I would love to hear them!!!!!!!
( By the way, I am planning to post tomorrow,if I can think of something to post about!)

Thanks,

Mary

A Princess's Skirt

Hi there, friends!
I'm back again to give you a update. I think I have posted a picture of myself before, but here I am again.I am doing a post about myself today.( It is going to be a rare thing, I must say.)My mom made me the cutest skirt. It's blue! All lot of my clothes are blue so my mom wanted me to pick out blue fabric. The cool thing is, it is made out of a mini skirt! We are not allowed to wear skirts or dresses above the knee so mom sews layers on and makes it reach just below the knees. I love these skirts! I have had a lot of these skirts, but outgrown most of them, ( if I didn't tear them first!).

My sister got a funny picture, and I decided that I should post it.
I think I was trying to figure out how to pose, while looking up at the sky.
Though it was just gray, like usual. we have had some really nice days, this just wasn't one of them.

This is the skirt. Isn't it so pretty? I especially like the roses at the top.
I picked different shades of blue so it would match more of my clothes.

Thanks for looking!
I would love to hear from you!

Thanks again,

Mary<3

Spring!!!

One day, I looked out of my window and saw that spring had really come.
This is a maple tree bud, with I think is very pretty.

I love daffodils! They are one of my favorite flowers!
These are white daffodils, we also have yellow daffodils.

Our raspberry are putting out leaves! It is so beautiful!

This is from our neighbor lawn, it is so pretty!
It is bright yellow!

This is from our fruit trees. It is a asian pear, to be exact.

These look like butterflies! Actually, they are leaves, not all the way unfolded.

This is another wonderful creation of God.
The crocus!

Our roses are putting out leaves also.

I have no idea what this plant is, but it was rather pretty.

I don't know what this one is either, but it is also pretty.

This is a yellow daffodil.

Thank you for looking girls!

Books!!!!!!

Hello there!

These are some of my favorite books!
The ones you can cuddle up with, and read on a rainy day when there really isn't any
thing to do but school and the housework.

I have only read the little house books recently, but I don't recommend waiting because I soon found that I was missing out!

I bought these at a Christian book store where we used to live, and enjoyed reading them immensely.
It's about a foster girl, named Skye, who hates anything to do with God, but loves her foster parents horses,
ends up coming to Christ through a friends death. I love them and hope you will take my advise and read them!

Everyone tells me that they can't stand this book, but my sister gave me a copy and I read it. Now it is one of my most favorite books. She talks so dramatically, it really does make you laugh!

This is about a girl who left her home town because of the war, but is separated with her father and hopes he will be there when she comes home. When he is not, she sets about making a home for her brother, her grandma and herself. He finally comes home, but not before a soldier who before he went to war became very good friends.

Nory is about 11 years old and lives in Ireland during the potato famine.
As she struggles to keep her family and herself alive half of her family immigrated, while her father is looking for work for months at a time, until only her and her brother are left in Ireland.

ELSIE DINSMORE!!! An 8 year old girl who is a very strong Christian, and  hopes for her fathers return from Europe. But the only problem is that her father is not a Christian, but I won't spoil the rest of the book.
Or should I say books! There are a rather large amount of  books in this series, the first 2 books are when she was a little girl, all the  rest are when she is older.

I love books and I think that more than one of you  love books too.
I'll keep the reviews coming, but be sure to write in your comments your favorite books.

Bye book lovers!
