Waterfalls, Rivers

Hi there!

We went on a walk Sunday, and my brother got some really good pictures.

I love the color of this river, and believe it or not, this is actually right below huge rapids, or a small waterfall.
This is one of my favorite shades of blue.

This is also below the rapids, but it's so calm and clear, I would never had guessed if I hadn't been there.

My brother, David, and I, on a huge log that fell over the river.

That log was a attraction, I can tell you that.

There was a rather large rock that I climbed and my brother snapped a picture.

This is my sister, and she is actually not on the log. That is the same the log I posed on. John just made it look like she was standing on it by crouching down to where her feet were on the  log when she was standing all the way across the river.

This the rapids! Being there was a lot cooler.

Thanks so much for looking!

I had a lot of fun, both walking and posting!

Mock angel cake

HI!

See, I told you I'd do two recipes this week!
This is a delicious cake that is,honestly, very hard to make.
I made it for my little brother's,(Caleb),birthday, on the 22nd.
He is turned 6. I love to see little kids when it is, or soon going to be their birthday!
They are so excited!

So, these are the ingredients. I will put the directions with it, because the directions are really important.

In the blue dish is powdered milk, because our goats aren't producing right now,and we didn't have very much rice milk, either.
In the yellow dish is egg whites. separating them isn't really that hard, but remember, no yolks!

This is actually egg whites!

This is the mixture. ( I used the mixer!)

My adorable brother, and his cake.

This is the cookbook. My brother,(John),won it at a fair. He makes amazing turtle bread, that kept winning.

A close up of the cake.He wanted a cake with a racetrack on it. Then he wanted people.
That is what you see all over.

MOCK ANGEL CAKE
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 c. milk
3 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
Mike and Ikes and Smarties optional. :)

Combine sugar, flour, baking powder, salt; sift together 6 times.
Put into mixing bowl. bring milk to boiling. Immediately pour over
flour mixture, mixing well. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form;
fold into batter gently. Stir in vanilla. Pour into a greased and floured
9 by 13 in. pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min. Cool. and frost and decorate as desired.

Now I want to share my little sister.
LYDIA!!!
We dressed her up for church. But I think we might have dressed her up a little bit to much!
She didn't like it very much.
My brother took all of these.

Dressed up again, but I think this time she is half smiling.
She has such a cute pouty face!
I don't think she likes her chair very much.
Thanks so much for looking!

Random me!: Poppy seed muffins

HI!

I missed last week so I might do 2 recipes this week.
Anyhow, I wanted to share this one with you
guys. I love these! They are my favorite muffin.

These are all of the ingredients. You can use melted butter

instead of oil.
I didn't have any butter available when I made them.

I would have mixed it with the mixer, but my sister was
using it, so I used a bowl again.

I put the batter in a 8 cup measuring bowl that is shaped like a
pitcher. You can always just spoon it out of the bowl
right into the pans.

It didn't quite make 2 dozen.

This is the cookbook that it came from.

This is another amazing result!
YUM!

Almond Poppy Seed Muffins
4 1/2 cups flour
2 Tbsp.baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 cup poppy seeds
1 1/2 cups honey
1 cup unsalted butter or
olive oil
3 eggs
1 3/4 milk
2 tsp.vanilla
2 1/2 tsp.almond extract

You don't have to use almond extract.I used orange extract.

Gluten free chocolate chip cookies

I am trying to bake one thing a week and this is my first recipe.
These are amazing! Even they are gluten free, there're still good.
I made them for my Mom. After my baby sister started having
constipation, my Mom has been trying different things to try and
help it. One of them was gluten free.

I LOVE CHOCOLATE CHIPS!
(who doesn't?)

As you know, I used gluten free flour.

My Mom is very healthy, so we don't use white sugar.
Instead we use turbinado sugar, succanant, and honey.
I used eggs that came from our own chickens, too!

Next I mixed it up.

I decided to make them the old fashioned way.
You know, with the spoon, bowl, and apron.
My older sister actually made the apron for me.
I made them into a little bigger then a quarter
size. They don't spread a lot.

The recipe came from this cookbook.

This was my amazing result!( Actually, this is amazing,
because usually I make a mistake.)

Orange chocolate chunk cookies

2 1/2 cups of flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. grated orange peel
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 cup salted sugar, softened
2 large eggs
1 tsp. pure orange extract
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate bar, coarsely chopped or chocolate chips.

It really doesn't matter what flour you use.
If you want, you can put both the sugar together, like if you only have one kind.

Thanks so much for looking!I had a lot of fun on this post.

Introduction

Hi, I'm Mary Elizabeth, and I am 11 years old. Guess what? I looooove blue!!!I bet you wouldn't have guessed, right? I also adore horses! Have you guessed? I am very weird. I have 11 siblings. I am also a Christian. I am a very crafty person when its something I like to do! Here are some random facts about me:

 I am home schooled
I am very random
I play piano
I share a room with my sister
I journal a lot
I love animals
I love to read
I love nature

Every girl loves dolls, right? I had a lot of fun taking
these pictures!I named the blond one Jubilee and
also made her dress. I love it! In this one I just set
them up after dressing them and snapped a picture. The
one with the brown hair is my sisters doll. She let me use
it for the pictures. Her name is Liberty, and my older
sister made her dress.

Here all I did was set them up and stick some flowers
in the bush. I think this one is my favorite.

We have a big, ugly, rotting stump in our yard and I thought that
it might make the stump and my dolls a little pretty!

So now you know a little bit about me, come along on the adventure of life.
Share a bit of your life in your comments!
